Getting LogZilla Cloud

This guide describes how a customer acquires a LogZilla Cloud instance, from selecting a tier to receiving provisioning emails. It is intended for first-time purchasers prior to initial login.

Overview

LogZilla Cloud provides hosted log management with real-time search, dashboards, alerting, and an API. Instances are provisioned under the logzilla.cloud domain and include an ingest-only token for secure event submission over HTTPS.

Getting Started

To purchase LogZilla Cloud:

  1. Visit https://www.logzilla.net/cloud
  2. Review the available service tiers and current pricing
  3. Select the tier that fits operational requirements
  4. Choose a hostname and proceed to subscription

Service tiers vary by ingestion volume, storage capacity, features, and support level. Current tier details and pricing are available on the LogZilla Cloud website.

Choose a Hostname

  • Hostname will be of the form <chosen>.logzilla.cloud.
  • Constraints:
  • 3–63 characters.
  • Letters (a–z, A–Z), digits (0–9), and hyphens (-) only.
  • Cannot start or end with a hyphen.

Purchase and Payment

  • Payments are processed by a secure third-party provider (Stripe).
  • A redirect to the provider may be required for authentication.
  • LogZilla does not store payment details; they are handled by the payment provider.

Provisioning Emails

After subscribing:

  • Email 1: "Provisioning Started for Your LogZilla Instance at <hostname>.logzilla.cloud."
  • Email 2 (approximately 10 minutes later): "Your LogZilla Instance is Ready at <hostname>.logzilla.cloud."

The readiness email typically includes:

  • Instance URL (note that if the one chosen was unavailable, this may be slightly different than the chosen hostname)
  • Admin password
  • API ingest token (ingest-only token)
  • Full API token (for appropriate service tiers)
